
Rachael Wilcox
Rachael is an International Coaching Federation accredited coach who has coached executive leaders, emerging managers, and teams in USAID, the World Bank Group, and other international development organizations over the past 20 years. Her coaching has supported individuals and teams to build their capacity for agile, adaptive leadership in fluid contexts, including clarifying roles and expectations, preparing for constructive feedback conversations, navigating team and interpersonal conflict, and developing strategies for influencing key stakeholders. Her coaching also supports individuals to attend to their wellbeing, cultivate a growth mindset, and navigate career transitions.
Professional Experience
In addition to coaching, Rachael has provided organizational development (OD) support to international development organizations in over 35 countries. Her areas of expertise include designing and facilitating strategic planning and action learning processes, leadership development training design and delivery, and instructional design and facilitation for technical training in partnership with subject matter experts. Her work has spanned several technical sectors, including stabilization, political transitions, countering violent extremism, democratic governance, emergency response, food security, health policy and natural resource management.
A significant portion of her work in terms of duration, breadth, and meaning, has been with USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives. Since 2006, Rachael has supported OTI field programs and HQ divisions by designing and facilitating countless Startup Conferences, Strategy Review Sessions, After Action Reviews, CR and DCR retreats, World Wide Management Meetings, division and team retreats. She supported the development of the OTI Programming Principles curriculum and stood up the OTI Coaching Program, managing the delivery of several years of both.
Education & Background
Ms. Wilcox holds an MA in International Communication from American University and a BA in International Culture and Economy from Bentley College. She is an International Coach Federation Associate Certified Coach, an accredited Mediator by the Australian National Mediation Accreditation, and a certified practitioner of the MBTI and EQ-i2.0.
Rachael is based in Brisbane, Australia, which makes her well-situated to coaching clients in a variety of time zones. For US-based clients, her coaching hours typically fall in the afternoon and evening.
